TODAY---  ANOTHER SHORT DOGGIE

EARLY  7:45 ISH---   ANNE IS DRIVING ME TO MEET MEGAN AT THE SCHOOL..  I SUGGEST EVERYONE SAY A LARGE PRAYER THAT I IGNORE PLAN "A"  WHICH IS TO GRAB THE HIND END OF THE PRINCIPAL AND SEE HOW SHE CONCENTRATES WITH THAT GOING ON.
THEY JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND..
I HAVE A FOLDER FULL OF SUGGESTIONS AND INFORMATION FROM ALL THESE CAMERA PEOPLE.. SOME ARE EXTREMELY CLEAR

THE ADA/ IEL APPROACH IS THAT THE CHILD BE PROBVIDED WITHTHE LEAST RESTRICTIVE SOLUTION... AND SINCE THE AID LEFT 57 IN THE CLASSROOM ANF FORGOT TO TAKE HER TO LUNCH  ANYTHING WOULD BE BETTER---

AND SHE CAN WALK WITH TEAL-- SHE CAN NOT WALK WITH A WALKER--- THE WALKER TIPS OVER- TEAL DOES NOT.  AT LEAST AS LONG AS HE IS NOT IN THAT SCHOOL

I REALLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE SOLUTION IS... I KNOW A FEW THINGS IT IS NOT.
YOU CAN NOT SAY TO AN ANIMAL  "OH FORGET IT   THEY WON'T DO THAT AGAIN..."

I LIKED RENEE'S COMMENT
" THOU SHALT NOT COVET THY CLASSMATES NEW SET OF  FEETS"

THE OTHER SMALL PRAYER  YOU MIGHT ADD

WE HAVE TO LEAVE AT 7:45  AND THE VOLUNTEERS  SAID THEY COULD COME  FEED AT 8... SO THE PUPS AND CAMERA WILL NOT HAVE  A SITTER  FOR THAT 15 MINUTES.. THEY SHOULD BE FINE...

  1. God Speed John Glenn- go where no one has been before and set the new boundaries. YOU can do this- for 57 and Teal, and every other child that comes.

Education is a fluid thing. Including the education of Principles and Teachers- there are new things to learn all the time. As in how to adapt to an ever changing world and allow those who do not fit the "round peg in the sq hole" to be more comfortable in the sq hole they want to shove them in.
The act of being upright, to have someone speak to her face to face and not look down on her, the act of walking and the strength that builds in her body, the safety and security she builds with Teal are valuable things in this girls life and are worth FIGHTING OVER.
But alas- you must have tact. Sometimes a whisper is heard over a shout.
Good luck. Angels on your body.

  2. Good luck, Carlene. One thing I just thought of is this...doesn't it make it difficult for "57" to make friends? Kids will be kids and it's so hard for them to get the concept that "you can't pet the dog", I imagine. It's hard to have a handicap and sometimes hard to make friends when you have one. Add to that the fact that you may get in trouble for petting her pup... Seems like a lose-lose situation. Good luck with this problem...and good luck to "57", too.
