I CAN SEE HOPE AT THE END OF THIS TUNNEL...

2 DAYS AGO WITH 15 PUPS ABSOLUTELY WILD TEARING AROUND TH EHOUSE DESTROYING AND .....CAUSING GREAT ODORS,, .PLUS  HAVING THE FLU... I WONDERED IF I WOULD HAVE  STREGNTH TO DEAL.

BUT I AM BACK TO FIGHTING STREGNTH NOW.. AND COLLEEN 2  SAID THE DIFFERENCE IN THE PUPS  FROM SUNDAY NIGHT TIL LAST NIGHT IS MONUMENTAL

THE BIG DIFFERENCE IS ....
.YESTERDAY WE FED THEM ABOUT 5 AND DID NOT LET THEM INTO THE "TV" ROOM  WHERE THE FLUFFIES WERE ALL LINED UP -- I MADE  THEM STAY IN THE OFFICE/KITCHEN AREA  ( VINYL FLOOR) TO DO THIER THING AND RACE AROUND.. AS THEY BEGAN TO FALL OVER ASLEEP-- WE CARRIED THEM INTO THE TV ROOM AND PUT THEM ON A SOFA.
.
I SAT THERE WITH MY WHIFFLE BAT AND BANGED THE FLOOR IF ANYONE EVEN STARTED TO RUN AROUND..  THEY COULD WALK AROUND TO GO GET A DRINK OR CHANGE BEDS-- BUT  THE SLIGHTEST  OFFER TO DISRUPT ANOTHER DOG WAS DEALT WITH IMMEDIATELY--- "STOP IT.".. BANG THE FLOOR

THEY GOT THE PICTURE  SO BY 7PM WHEN COLLEEN  GOT HERE ALL WAS UNDER CONTROL-- AND SHE SAID IT STAYED THAT WAY ALL NIGHT  TIL 4AM.

PLUS WHEN THEY START TO PULL THINGS OFF MY DESK AND I SAY "NO"  THEY LOOK AT ME- AND AT LEAST NOTICE I AM  SAYING SOMETHING..
THIS IS PART OF SERVICE TRAINING-- ANY PUP WHO DOES NOT STOP AND THINK WOULD MAKE A BETTER PET  THAN WORKING DOG.
THIS IS ONE POINT WHERE WE CAN BEGIN  TO AIM THE PUPSAT  THEIR BEST DESTINY.
**************
*NOW THE PROBLEM OF TH E NIGHT
AND IT WAS I BIG ONE.
HAVING RUN THE CHAOS PUPS UP FROM THE BARN-- AND MOVED THE MOXIE PUPS INTO THE HOUSE  THEN THE TV ROOM  ... JAMIE TRACY AND DEVLIN ALL LEFT-- AND I SAT WITH MY YELLOW BAT---

SO I COUNTED----    14-----  AND RECOUNTED  14  AND THOUGHT  16 MINUS 1 IS NOT 14  SO I COUNTED... MANY MORE TIMES... THEN  I GOT OUT MY POLICEMAN'S FLASHLIGHT AND MADE THE ROUNDS OF EVERY CLOSET ETC ON THE FIRST FLOOR OF THIS HOUSE.. NOTHING---  ABSOLUTE PANIC---- I NEEDED HELP QUICKLY - WHICH WOULD BE TRACY ABOUT 2 MILES AWAY - WHO STARTED IN THIS DIRECTION  - AND TEX'D JAMIE---  WHO REMINDED ME  HILLARY TOOK ONE BUMPY PUP  HOME TO HAVE A GOOD BATH/SHOWER--  ----AND 16-2 IS 14

- THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ALL THE DOGS I EXPECTED TO FIND-- AND IT HAS BEEN SUGGESTED WE HAVE A SIGN OUT LIST--  BUT I WAS SO BUSY CRAWLING AROUND THE FLOOR LOOKING UNDER SOFA'S WITH THE HUGE FLASHLIGHT THAT I NEVER LOOKED AT THE SIGN OUT BOARD

YOU COULD SAY IT WAS MY AGE.... BUT I HAVE DONE THIS KIND OF THING BEFORE I GOT THIS OLD....--- WITH BIGGER THINGS  THAN PUPPIES.
.. "JANINE  HOW MANY HORSES  AM I SUPPOSED TO HAVE IN THE BARN?"*
**********
APPARENTLY I AM NOT GETTING ANY BETTER.

***************
 YESTERDAY'S OTHER DISASTERS....

1. WE WERE OUT OF DOG FOOD-
2. IT WAS THE FIRST OF THE YEAR..

FOOD SIMPLY MEANT A TRIP TO SAMS- ( FOR FOOD NOT MADE IN A DIAMOND FACTORY) --
BUT WE COULDN'T DO THAT BECAUSE IT SEEMS EVERYONE'S HORSE TRAILER PLATES EXPIRE ON JAN 1ST-- AND JANINE NEEDED OUR TRAILER --- OR ANYONE ELSE'S ---- SHEWAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE THAT EXTRA HORSE FROM OUR BARN TO CONN.. AND GO FURTHER AND PICK UP 4 MORE RESCUES   IN PENNA..--- TO COME HERE...- ONE BEING RESCUED IN THE NAME OF THAT LITTLE GIRL WHO WAS KILLED IN THE SCHOOL SHOOTOUT.-- APPARENTLY A BAY 6 MONTH OLD FOAL??

WHY DID I NOT GET HER INTERESTED IN RAISING HAMPSTERS?

WE GO THRU THIS TRAILER PROBLEM  YEARLY-- COMBINATION OF CIRCUMSTANCES-

THE DURANGO (CURRENTLY MINE)  IS  INSURED  WITH--- GEICLO-- WHO  DOES NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO SELL HORSE TRAILER INS IN MASS.
JANINE-S LITTLE BMW WILL NOT PULL A HORSE TRAILER- BUT SHE IS INS WITH COMMERCE  WHO DOES INS HORSE TRAILERS.

SO.... WHO OWNS THE HORSE TRAILER  AND WHO  SHOULD OWN THE HORSE TRAILER?  AND  WHERE IS THE TITLE ANYWAY

EVERY YEAR WE GO THRU THIS.
EVERY YEAR THERE IS SOMETHING TO DISRUPT WHAT WOULD BE NORMAL--
 IF WE WERE NORMAL..
***********
I WAS TO MEET JANINE AT THE INS COMPANY--- THEY ARE NOT MY FAVORITE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD-- THEIR VERY OCCUPATION BOTHERS ME..  REGARDLESS OF WHAT I HAVE FOR PAPERWORK-- IT IS NEVER QUITE RIGHT...

SO I WAS VERY PLEASED -- AS I WENT UP IN THE ELEVATOR TO NOTICE THE ELEVATOR PERMIT HAD EXPIRED IN  -- MAY OF 2011--   SO WHEN THEY TOLD ME-- AGAIN.. I /JANINE  NEEDED SOME OTHER PAPERS..
. I COULD SAY "BY THE WAY.. YOUR ELEVATOR PERMIT IS EXPIRED."

THAT GAVE ME GREAT PLEASURE.
***********************
MEGAN....THE DOG FOOD IS IN THE BACK OF THE COA VAN..  WE HAD TO TAKE TH E BIG VAN BECAUSE WITH 14 PUPS IN THE HOUSE   THE EXTRA 5 ADULTS MIGHT BE THE STRAW THAT CAUSED THERESA TO COLLAPSE...

AND IT IS STILL IN THE VAN--
*******************
LORI MANAGED TO GET CHICKEN FOOD WHILE THERESA SEARCHED FOR THE
TRAILER TITLE
******************
LEAVING THE TV ON ALL NIGHT WHILE ASLEEP CAN GIVE  ME SOME REALLY STRANGE NOTIONS WHICH I HAVE TO FIGHT.  LAST NIGHT THERE WAS A LONG "INFOMERCIAL" ABOUR SPRINKLING STUFF ON FOOD SO IT DIDN'T MAKE YOU FAT.

I WONDERED IF IT WOULD RUIN THE FLAVOR OF THE CHEESCAKE....

  5. Thanks for the Doggie Daily update. It always makes me smile.

LOVED the part about the expired elevator permit:-) Isn't it amazing how getting things renewed always involves some kind of scavenger hunt, and even when it runs smoothly, there is all this anxiety from past experiences?

I think the missing pup had been taken home with Hillary to have a good bath/shower. (?)

Happy New Year and hopefully everyone is feeling better. Here's to health and sunshine in the coming weeks.

  7. The one pup you all responded about was what made the number 14 and not 15 dogs. The two litters, chuppies and muppies were 8 pups each. When did we go from 16 pups to 15 pups being the normal??? before Hillary took one home for a bath??????

  9. One muppie, Peter, was given to an SDP friend who lives not too far away from the farm. Petere will still be visiting from time to time. He went to his new home a few weeks ago. The other pup is the one Hilary had which made it 14.
