THIS DAILY DOGGIE WILL NOT BE VERY LONG ( PROBABLY)

NOW I AM REALLY IN HIGH GEAR.

KRIS ( DAUGHTER GWEN'S KENYON FRIEND ) RESEARCHED AND WROTE A LONG LETTER FOR ME TO SEND TO THE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS WHERE JOCELYN (AKA 57) IS HAVING TROUBLE WITH STUDENTS AND STAFF.

SHELIA ( OF WOOD CHIPPPING MEAT FAME) CALLED A FRIEND SHE KNEW INTHAT TOWN WHO JUST HAPPENED TO BE AT ROTARY CLUB WITH THE SUPERINTENDENT-- AND THEY HAD A CONVERSATION ABOUT TEAL AND 57 HE SAID "I THOUGHT THAT WAS RESOLVED"

I THOUGHT I WOULD CALL HIM AND HAVE A BRIEF CONVERSATION BEFORE WE SENT THE LETTER FULL OF LAWS OF WHICH I AM SURE HE KNOWS.

HE WAS UNAVAILABLE AND WOULD CALL ME LATER IN THE AFTERNOON.

HE DID NOT-- THAT IS A RED FLAG IN FRONT OF A BULL

REMEMBER----- THE PRINCIPAL OF THE SCHOOL WAS TOO BUSY TO TALK TO THE PARENTS, MEGAN AND I-- NOW HIM???

I WILL GIVE HIM TIL 10 THIS MORNING TO CALL ME-- THEN TO BE VERY CONSERVATIVE--- I WILL SEND HIM A VERY SHORT EMAIL- AND IF I DO NOT HEAR BACK BEFORE NOON... I QUIT THE CONSERVATIE ROAD. NEXT IS THE STATE SCHOOL BOARD.

WHAT SET ME OFF IS..... 57 IS TRYING TO TEACH TEAL TO BARK --

WHAT A PATHETIC STATEMENT THAT IS.-- IS THAT BECAUSE WE AS THE ADULTS SURROUNDING HER HAVE NOT TAUGHT THE SCHOOL SUPERNTENDENT. TEACHERS AND STAFF TO BARK IN HER BEHALF?

ONE OF THE CAMERA PEOPLE SENT ME THIS EXAMPLE- A GOOD MENTAL PICTURE

Her Service Dog being tugged on and called out to is interfering with her right to her education . It is equivalent to a deaf student needing a sign language interpreter and having the other students standing and waving between the interpreter and the deaf student

I AM ON IT.

  1. If you need a letter writing campaign just let us know. The way the kids and teachers are behaving really upsets me. Teachers seem to let kids do whatever they want to do these days :(

    2. I third the motion. I am completely flabbergasted that the staff aren't doing anything useful. That they making it worse is infuriating beyond belief. Makes me want to go on the war path, and I'm 3000 miles away and have never met any of these people. I can't imagine how you all must be feeling.

  2. This is bullying plain & simple. Anderson Cooper just did an hour long special on "Bullying" for CNN. He loves animals. He has done segments on service dogs for his nightly news show on CNN. He has both a morning show, and nightly news show originating from New York.
I think going to the media is your best bet. Do you really think that if the local school board had any fear of repercussions from the state they would be acting this way?

  3. Carlene - as a teacher at our school. We had a service dog in our middle school that came with a teacher almost every day to school. This dog knew the students and who "needed" her head in their lap that day. This dog was awesome about figuring out who needed a little lovin any given day. I tested that when I was having difficulty - Kula knew right away I was having a bad day and immediately put her head in my lap. Kula has passed and will be greatly missed at our school. We were very lucky. Teachers, students, community were all very appreciative and supportive of Kula's presence and she became known as "Kula the school dog". She made a difference in a lot of people's lives. I so wish we could wave our magic wand and have this school embrace how lucky they are to have a service dog in their presence. I'm a firm believer in everything happens for a reason - apparently this school and administration needs some "bullying" and "acceptance" training. You go girl!!!! You've got them whipped and this is another journey "service dogs" have sent you to correct. We all have a purpose and you have soooo many lessons to teach! Your angel wings are waiting for you someday. Best of luck with this situation!

  4. I have not one printable comment on what I think of those teachers, school administrators who are actively interferring with that child's right to an education! And, like 'SAY' said above, think it time to go to the media! Let those people who are not doing their job explain it on the 6 o clock news!

I too, would be more then happy to write to them and tell them what I think of their lack of appropriate action, lack of understanding and failure to perform their duty.

Service dogs are a necessary blessing in our world and need to be treated as such. Those who use service dogs should absolutely be treated as part and parcel of daily life and full respect given to them and their helpers, Our laws recognize that, now it's time for these school bullies to recognize it too. and obey those laws, not to mention, display some common sense!

    Keep up the good work!

  5. How about we ALL show up with our service dogs, walkers, wheelchairs, scooters. Can someone video this school board meeting. I want to see Carlene and Megan in action.
