APRIL 11,2013

i AM SICK --

I WAS DOING PRETTY WELL FOR A WHILE- THEN I CLEANED MY DESK - I AM SURE THAT IS WHAT DID IT.

IT CAME ON WITH THE TERRIBLE BATTLE I HAD WITH THE COMPUTER ON TUESDAY TRYING TO FIND A PERSON'S PHONE NUMBER

CAUSING ME TO CLEAN OFF MY DESK ON WEDNESDAY

THAT DID IT.

NOT GOING TO DO THAT AGAIN

*****************

BUT THAT WS NOT THE END OF IT... I HAVE THIS TERRIBLE DEFEATIST ATTITUDE ABOUT ANYTHING TECHNICAL-

I FIGURED I WOULD STAY IN BED AND WATCH MY COLLECTION OF DVD'S WHICH I HAVE NEVER SEEN.

FIRST BECKY--- THEN MARIA... BOTH VERY COMPETENT BUTTON PUSHERS- TRIED TO MAKE THAT DVD /TV WORK AND BOLDLY PUT IN THE DISC OF THE SMOTHERS BROTHERS-- IT PLAYED THEIR INTRODUCTION DITTY OVER AND OVER FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES BEFORE WE SHUT OFF THE SOUND. FINALLY WE PUT IN THEIR SECOND DISC- AND THAT PLAYED...

I ENJOYED THEM-- THEY MADE GOOD MUSIC-- GOOD COMEDY- UNFORTUNATELY MOST OF IT WAS VOICING THEIR OPPOSITION TO THE WAR IN VIETNAM- AND MANY OTHER THINGS....SO THEY GOT FIRED FROM THE NETWORK.

*****************

I AM TOLD BY BECKY THAT I HAVE TO STAY IN BED UNTIL I HAVE READ ALL THE LETTERS IN PINK ENVELOPES SHE SAID WOULD BE ARRIVING...

BLESS THOSE ANTIBIOTICS....

*****************

IN THE MEANTIME I WILL SEE IF I CAN GET THE NUPPIES TO USE THE YUPPY PUPPY MACHINE

THAT IS A PERFECTLY GOOD QUIET-RESTFUL PROJECT FOR THE DAY... NO?
******************

TRACY IS OUT TOO SO IT IS ALL HANDS ON DECK...

  1. I think a quiet restful project for the day involves staying in bed and maybe having a nuppie come for a visit and cuddle. Get well soon Carlene!

  3. There's a reason you are told to put your mask on first on a plane. You can't help others until you help yourself first. Stay in bed, get lots of rest, and get lots of puppy kisses.

  4. Sorry you are under the weather. Tip: for CDs that don't behave properly, put a couple of drops of MILD dishwashing soap in your hand, run a bit of midly warm water into said hand and run it over the playing side of the CD (side opposite the label). Rinse thoroughly. Dry with a non-scratch cloth, such as a glasses cleaner cloth. Under no circumstances use a paper or regular cloth towel (they scratch). 9 times out of 10, the CD will then work just fine.
