THAT COUGH SYRUP THE DR GAVE ME LAST NIGHT STOPPED MY COUGH.. ALL LOGICAL THOUGHT....PLUS...ANY PERISTALSIS - WHICH MEANT THAT IF I EVEN TOOK A SIP OF WATER I HAD TO JUMP UP AND DOWN TO GET IT TO EVEN START INTO MY STOMACH. THAT IS TROUBLE... BRING ON THE PRUNES.

I FOLLOWED THE SDP RULE AROUND HERE YOU ARE ALLOWED TO MENTION ONLY ONE AILMENT AND ONE PILL AT A TIME.. BECAUSE SOME OF THESE VETERANS COULD TAKE UP 1/2 THE MORNING WITH THEIR LIST OF DIAGNOSIS -- AND THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE MS ARE A WALKING TIME BOMB OF CHEMICALS. NONE OF IT MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE TO US..

BEING DIZZY FOR ONE REASON OR ANOTHER IS A NORMAL STATE AROUND HERE-- AND WHEN PEOPLE WHO HAVE ONE OF OUR DOGS AND FALL DOWN-- WE JUST WATCH- WHICH AMAZES TEH GENERAL PUBLIC- WE DON'T HELP-- THAT IS CALLED INDEPENDENCE

THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY AT LAHEY-- JADE WENT WITH MEGAN, DUSTIN AND I AND GOT THE HAIRBRAINED IDEA SHE WANTED TO TRY WALKING WITH DUSTIN-- ( SAMMY IS WORKING BEAUTIFULLY FOR HER-- GREAT DOG) ANYWAY SHE TOTTERED OFF WHILE WE WERE WAITING FOR MY Rx AND NEARLY FELL WHILE I STOOD THERE WATCHING MEGAN WAS NEARBY SITTING- WE WATCHED.

THAT HAPPENED WITH JOCELYN IN HER SCHOOL LAST TIME WE WERE THERE.. SHE TOOK A REAL HEADDER KNOCKING TEAL OVER AT THE SAME TIME- AND 4 OF US JUST STOOD THERE WATCHING. SHE TUGGED AND YANKED HERSELF UP ONTO HER FEET- AND HER GRIN WAS A MILE WIDE.

LIKE THAT SERIES OF PHOTO.S IN ONE OF MARKS SUNDAY UPDATES.

"I CAN DO IT MYSELF" IS A DELIGHTFUL THING. BUT THOSE STANDING AROUND NOT OFFEREING TO HELP OFTEN GET AMAZING DIRTY LOOKS.

THAT CONCEPT BRINGS ME TO THE LECTURE OF THE DAY-

SUMMER IS COMING...IN CASE YOU DOUBTED IT..

TRY THIS

YOU ARE THRU SHOPPING SO YOU GO TO YOUR CAR AND OPEN THE DOOR FOR YOUR DOG TO JUMP IN- AND HE DOES-- THEN YOU GO TO THE DRIVERS DOOR-- AND BEFORE YOU GET THE DOOR OPEN, YOU FALL- HITTING YOUR HEAD--YOU ARE WOOZY BUT SOME HEL;PFUL PEOPLE COME OVER AND CALL AN AMBULANCE FOR YOU AND THEY CART YOU OFF

YOU JUST KILLED YOUR DOG.

BECAUSE EVERYONE WOUL.D BE SO INTENT ON YOU LYING ON THE GROUND THAT THEY MIGHT MISS THE FACT THAT BEHIND THOSE TINTED WINDOWS IS A SERVICE DOG WITH NO AIR IN A HOT CAR.

AND DO NOT GIVE ME THE IDIOT RESPONSE "OH IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO ME"

IF I EVER CATCH ANYONE OUTSIDE THIER CAR WITH A DOG IN THERE WITHOUT A WINDOW FULL OPEN I WILL IMMEDIATELY TAKE THE DOG AWAY FROM YOU.

PROPER WAY OPEN BOTH DRIVERS DOOR AND BACK DOOR PUT THE DOG IN AND SHUT THE BACK DOOR THEN SHUT YOUR DOOR AFTER YOU ARE SEATED IN THE DRIVERS SEAT.-- THERE IS ONE OTHER OPTION TO LEAVE WINDOWS FULL OPEN UNTIL YOU LAND.

JADE HAS A BACK DOOR THAT IS PUSH BUTTON--IT WAS CLOSE YESTERDAY-----IT SHUT SLOWLY... BUT ---I FORGOT TO MENTION IT--- I AM WARNING YOU -- DO NOT PUSH THAT BUTTON UNTIL YOU ARE IN THE CAR.

DON'T TEST ME

HAVING A SERVICE DOG HAS IT'S RESPONSIBILITIES- YOU ARE FOREWARNED...

I WILL NOW DISOLVE INTO ANOTHER CUPPA CAFFEINE

Hello Carlene & Everyone!

I recently had surgery and can't put in words how helpful Manny has been. We have been together now for over a year and obvious to all the bond we have developed. Manny "works" daily with me and it's been priceless to watch him learn on his own & develop more & more abilities to assist me. I've fallen several times and Manny is always there to help me up. He watches me constantly & responds quietly to all my needs. He shows his loyalty, love and service ability daily. Manny is a good boy, friendly & considerate to all people & other animals. Even during "playtime" he is at work. What great top notch training was given to my gift, my companion, our Manny!! See you all soon for a visit.

  1. I can really relate to you comment about the looks you get when you let someone just fall. My boyfriend Dan has CP (we have been to the last 2 Sunday Stews so you met him) and when we started dating it was very hard for me to NOT help him when we falls. I have it down now, but I get some horrible looks. We were once at Texas Roadhouse for dinner and our buzzer went off. He fell right in front of me and without a thought I stepped OVER him and handed the hostess our buzzer. A man at the door shot me daggers. Of course, when we tried to help Dan he got a polite, but firm rebuff and I think he understood then. To us, offering help to him is the same as just walking up to a service dog to pet them. It is a no-no.
