THERE WAS JUST ENOUGH SUN TO DO THE SH#TTING OUT NEAR THE TEEPEE-- EVERYONE HAS THE ROUTINE DOWN PAT--  EVEN THE CHICKENS PRODUCED IN LESS THAN 60 SECONDS...

IN THE FUSS AND BOTHER DEPARTMENT

WILL I EVER GET T THE POINT OF BEING ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH "A"  WITHOUT HAVING TO DO "B..C..D...E...AND ...  F"   FIRST.?

IT IS GETTING BETTER. BUT I  AM STILL NOT THERE..
FOR INSTANCE

A LIGHT WAS OUT IN MY ROOM ..
WE ARE ORGANIZED ENOUGH SO THERE IS A SUPPLY OF BULBS IN THE LIQUOR CABINET

SO I SIMPLY HAD  TO GET THE HACKSAW OUT OF MY TOOLBOX
BECAUSE THEY WERE PUT AWAY  STRAIGHT FROM THE STORE IN THT IMPOSSIBLE PLASTIC BUBBLE..

IN A PERFECT WORLD THERE WOULD BE A BAND SAW  AT THE CHECKOUT WHERE YOU COULD REMOVE THAT STUFF AND LEAVE IT IN THEIR TRASH, GOING HOME WITH JUST THE ITEM YOU PURCHASED.

*************

I AM TOLD THERE IS A MOVEMENT AFOOT TO TRY AND GET HEALTHIER SNACK FOOD IN THIS PLACE-- AND SOME OF THE CAMERA PEOPLE ARE CONCERNED-- AS WELL THEY SHOULD BE
BETWEEN THE 2 CASES OF WHOOPIE PIES, AND THE HOME MADE CHOCOLATE/PEANUT THINGS THAT ARE INTHE REFREIGERATOR---  A TIN BOX OF COME WILD PECAN COOKIES, AND A PILE OF HAWAII'S SUPER  SNACKS...   ALL OF US GAINED 47 POUNDS

IT IS A GREAT IDEA-- EXCEPT THE FREEZERS  HERE ARE ALREDY FULL OF DOG FOOD-- SO NICE HEALTHFUL FROZEN  MEALS IS OUT....  BUT THE CP'S ARE WORKING ON IT.  GOOD PROJECT !!

YESTERDAY SOMEONE WAS HORRIFIED THAT PAUL WAS EATING THE SAME CARROTS AS HE WAS FEEDING THE DONKEY-
I DID NOT GET IN THE CONVERSATION  QUICKLY ENOUGH TO FIND OUT WHY THE HORROR--THAT PAUL WOULD EAT DONKEY FOOD-- OR THE DONKEY WAS GIVEN PEOPLE FOOD.

I REMEMBER.........
I HAD A BAG OF ORGANIC TINY CARROTS WHICH I SPILLED OUT ON THE GROUND FOR MARY---  SHE SNIFFED THEM AND DID NOT EAT  ONE... WONDERING IF SHE WAS SICK. I PULLED OUT A "NORMAL- NON ORGANIC" CARROT-- AND SHE IMMEDIATELY WOLFED IT DOWN

I ALWAYS WONDERED ABOUT THAT...
AND I STILL DO...

DONKEYS AREN'T FOOLS
********************
PAUL DID BRING OUT  THE NEW DONKEY  WHO'S NAME MAY BE CHANGING TO LUCY-- SOMETIMES AROUND HERE IT TAKES A WHILE FOR A NAME TO SETTLE ON AN  ANIMAL.  SHE DID VERY WELL - WAS SLIGHTLY NERVOUS BY THE T TENT-- BUT WS HAPPY TO GET BRUSHED A BIT.

  2. I totally agree with "Pearl" that Lucy is a perfect name. My dog is named Lucy! Love what you are doing Carlene; love the DD's as they give us so much information. I wish I lived closer so I could come volunteer but alas, Illinois isn't a day drive to Ipswich so I will live vicariously through the ones who are able to visit.

  3. Loved the comment about Paul and the donkey. About carrots: Back in the 80's, I had a beagle/terrier mix who actually liked raw carrots. Only problem was that he did not like them unless they were peeled so I peeled a carrot every day before going to work. This was in the day before baby carrots already cleaned and bagged were available, I believe. My dog lived to be 18 so maybe the carrots helped. He did get cataracts when he was about 17 so they did not help with his eyes but he hung in there for longer than I expected. I appreciate what you do and look forward to reading your DD.
