OUR PLAN IS TO LEAVE THE FARM BEFORE NOON--- MEGAN DRIVING MY CAR ( WHICH IS FULL OF GAS-- AND CLEAN.. THANK YOU RYAN)  WITH PAM AND CAMERA  WHO  WILL POST TO  FACEBOOK  SDP EPW
I WILL HAVE BENTLEY  FOR WALKING   AND----IN CASE WE CAN GET MEDIA COVERAGE.. MEGAN WILL DRIVE ROUND AND ROUND TO THE CELL PHONE LOT  UNLESS THERE IS HANDCAP PARKING..

SO I GUESS WE ARE ALL SET...

PAM IS REPORTING  DAL 125 IS IN THE AIR--

STEVE-- I HOPE TRACY GAVE YOU A HEADS UP TO ALTER THE THEME OF TONIGHT'S MAIL CALL.
********

SO -----I WENT TO THE BLUEBERRY HILL NURSING HOME  ( NICE PLACE) AND STOPPED AT THE VERY NICE RECEPTIONIST OFFICE AND SAID I WAS HERE TO SEE A 95 YEAR OLD WOMAN WITH  A  SON  WHO  SAID SHE WAS NON VERBAL-- SHE SAID THEY HAD ABOUT 30 THAT FIT THE DESCRIPTION-- SO WE WENT TO THE ALZIEMER AND DEMENTIA UNITS AND SAW EVERYBODY...

BENTLEY COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER-- "WORKING THE CROWD"  VERY CASUALLY WANDERING..  HE SEEMED TO ENJOY THE ATTENTION....   AND THE LIFT IT GAVE SOME PATIENTS WAS REMARKABLE-- THE LIFT IT GAVE THE STAFF WAS IMMEASURABLE -  THEY WERE ALL SMILING WHEN WE LEFT... NURSING HOMES ARE SOO DREARY--- IT IS TOUGH ON THE STAFF.
I LEFT 4 CALENDARS BEHIND WITH HOPES THE SON WILL SEE THAT I HAVE BEEN THERE AND MAKE HIMSELF KNOWN AS THE DANE REQUEST PERSON.
(MAYBE HE COULD CHIP IN  FOR TH 4 CALENDARS THEY TALKED ME OUT OF.)

I HAVE SOME HEAVY DUTY WRITING TO DO BECAUSE  IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS WE PLAN TO SEND THIS DD TO THE MEMSAIC LIST OF DONORS FROM 2011 TO CURRENT..  SHEILA IS WORKING ON THE EMAIL LIST FOR DUPLICATES  -- IT WILL HAVE TO GO OUT THRU CONSTANT CONTACT BECAUSE AOL IS ALREADY UPSET AT THE NUMBER OF EMAILS I SEND OUT DAILY.  IT WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE OFF OUR WEB-- BUT WE HAVE HAD ALOT OF REQUESTS TO GET IT DIRECTLY-- SO WE TRY....
*****
DAWN'S CLASS SENT US AN AMAZING COLLECTION OF  PRESENTS TO BE DISTRIBUTED TO VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF...-- ALL WERE MATH PROJECTS OF SOME KIND  ... DIVIDE THE BOX OF DOG TREATS INTO EVEN NUMBER FOR EACH DOG-- KIND OF THING..

MY FAVORITE IS THE  MANY BAGS OF  SNOWMAN SOUP... PLASTIC BAG OF A FEW MARSHEMLLOWS, BAG OF COCCA MIX, 2 HERSHEY'S KISSES, AND A CANDY CANE TO STIR THE MIX.. I HAD ONE AT BEDTIME LAST NIGHT.
  THE  ORNAMENTS WERE SPECIAL TOO
APPARENTLY SHE PUT AN ORNAMENT IN THE  WHITE PAINT COVERED HAND OF A STUDENT- AND WITH THEIR 3 FINGERS THEY MADE 3 SNOWMEN ON THE BULB--  QUITE INGENIOUS... AND SO PERFECT..

M AND M'S HAVE COME A LONG WAY-- FIRST PERRY;S PICTURE ON BAGS-- THEN WITH THE STUDENTS  IT WAS RUDOLPH'S NOSE ( RED ONES )  AND GRINCH ONES ( GREEN)
************

I AM DELIGHTED ALL THE CP'S ARE MANAGING THIS PUPPY TRIP  REALLY WITHOUT MY INPUT... I DON'T EVEN HAVE THE EMALI  ADDRESS OF THE BREEDER -  TWAN DID IT ALL....  IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT I THOUGHT-- I HAVE NOT PAID FOR THE  PUP YET.

STAY TUNED

  1. GREAT DD, AS ALWAYS. I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW I AM SO HAPPY YOU ARE LOOKING UP OUR EMAIL ADDRESSES FOR THE DD. EVERY TIME I SAW YOU MENTION SENDING THEM OUT I WONDERED HOW I COULD GET ON THE LIST. THANKS.

  2. WOW, what a great DD today. FIrst the excitement of a new pup and I will be anxiously awaiting the pictures from Pam. Since I'm at work I can't follow the flight but will catch up at home tonight. Then, the trip to the nursing home. They ARE such dreary places but I'm so happy that Bentley was able to cheer some of them as well as the staff. I can't say it enough Carlene - you are such a wonderful person with such a great mission. Thanks for all you do.
