CAKING DAY

HAPPY 19TH   !!  I HOPE YOU ALL GET OUT---- AND   IF NOT A CAKE,... MAYBE A BUNCH OF SPECIAL CUPCAKES TO YOUR/ANY  LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT....

there had to be  broadway show  lyrics somewhere.......
...CARNIVAL ---- beautiful candy --Too pretty to eat

Stop living for reason
Time to start living for life
I'm on a spree and I'm
Going to make sure it's a perfectly good waste of time
******
we have a couple projects around here that very nearly fall into that catagorie
starting with the ginnea hens-they are supposed to eat bugs....   jury is out on that one...
they are a cheerful addition   bustling about   with great purpose.. attacking hubcaps...
so a chore for today is to move one of the mirrors i have collected over by the
puppy hill camera and see what happens  when they see it.

they are fine --- they probably would attackk  any shinney object from the knee down
HOWEVER... i did have turkeys  once-- they were left over from some commercial we were doing-
and they too liked to peck at shiney objects-- problem there was -- they were taller
-- we never had an accident  but small children's eyes are at that level--- and i was awarned...

one of those bits of  "incidental intelligence" one picks up over the years...

that song in carnival goes on about

buy yourself something  took years to produce
something you're sure is of no earthly use

which started me thinking...  children don't seem to relate to the cost of things in time.
they realllllly  want that $100 pair of sneakers with no concept of how long their parents--
or they-- would  have to work to pay for those.

i remember...... buying sneaker  "seconds" at the new ballance factory store for $9.99  that was back when  minimun wage was $7
now the same "seconds"  are $39.99  and the  minimum wage is gone up to $7.50---- flipping hamburgers at mcD's for 1.5 hours is reasonable--if they have to flip for over 5 hours to buy seconds-- it begins to eat into their food and housing budget..
which is why many  college grads live at home.-- refrig access.

SOMEONE SAID SCRUFFY'S BACK LEG WAS ACTING DIFFERENTLY....   I WILL WATCH TODAY.... BUT....BOTH MAUDE AND SHAG HAVE A BIT   OF "STRING HALT"  I.E.  WIERD BACK LEG ON OCCASION...  EXEGERATED  LIFT UP AND SOMETIMES HESITATE BEFORE LOWERING IT AGAIN..  STRING HALT DOES GOOGLE- AND THERE IS A VIDEO OF A PERFECT CASE..
I HAVE FORGOTTEN WHAT ANYONE DOES ABOUT IT... IF ANYTHING...  ON PET HORSES  ETC-- I BET YOU JUST LIVE WITH IT.

********
WIERD ----  GOLDIE IS AT IT AGAIN...
WE HAVE A GHOST--WHO CAUSES THINGS TO HAPPEN-- MOSTLY LOVELY THINGS UNEXPECTED THINGS-- IT IS TOUGH TO REMEMBER ALL--ONE OF THE TYPICAL- WAS-- BEFORE MAIL CALL ONE DAY I HAD ASKED SOMEONE TO FIND MARY'S FRY PAN-- WHICH WE USED TO LET KIDS FEED HER  TO KEEP LITTLE FINGERS OUT OF HER TEETH.  WE COULD NOT FIND IT... --------- IN THAT NIGHT'S MAIL CALL WERE 2 PURPLE FRY PANS-- A GOLDIE THING.  THERE HAVE BEEN dozens  IN THE PAST 3 YEARS...  IF ANY OF YOU OUT THERE HAVE KEPT TRACK, I WOUL D  LOVE A LIST.... I REMEMBER ONE OF THE FIRST...  SITTING AT MY DESK DISCOVERING A SNEAKER HAD COME APART-- WITHIN MINUTES SOMEONE  ( ? A CP?)CAME DOWNSTAIRS WITH A BOX THAT HAS JUST APPEARED  ...NEW SNEAKERS .. MY SIZE- NOT THE KIND I USUALLY BUY  BUT SIMILAR..  I HAD NOT BOUGHT THEM - OR THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN  NEW BALANCE SECONDS....
***
LAST NIGHT  SHANNON WAS SOMEWHERE AND SAW CHOCOLATE NECCO WAFERS- AND she  REMEEMBERED MY SISTER- FRAN -  IN COLORADO LIKED  THE BROWN ONES.. SO SHE BOUGHT 2 ROLLS FOR HER. SHANNON DOESN'T KNOW FRAN - OR ANYTHING ABOUT HER EXCEPT SHE LIKES BROWN NECCO WAFERS.  EARLY THIS MORNING FRAN CALLED TO SAY HER HUSBAND HAD PASSED  LAST NIGHT AFTER MANY PAINFUL YEARS WITH ALTZEIMERS.
I  WILL SEND THE NECCO WAFERS TODAY...

no cut and paste... but-----the reading of the PICKERS OF POO....
"I CAN EXPLAIN IT TO YOU , BUT I CAN'T UNDERSTAND IT  FOR YOU..."

  1. Very sorry to hear of your brother in law's death. Alzheimers can be hard on the individual as well as the caregiver. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
