oct 3 2016
i don't know if goldie had anythng to do with a chickens intestinal workings, but for whatever reason.. we have found that we must rush to get a third chicken on the table before the first chicken has "chosen" the winner..
yesterday was... a very successful shatting .. it was mentioned that i had to climb on th table to  pronounce the winner... and as judge, my wig and black cloak were missing...  must fix that...  they are around....
alot of other suggestions  were made --- forget the wig, concentrate on the  3 flimsy tables i was climbing on... and i should have some kind of ladder to more evenly distribute my weight.

i do have a perfect ladder for that...it is one of my favorite strange things to have in this house----
long ago----  while out delivering magazines for a friend who was sick, i was in a territory completey strange to me and ran into lynn ladder---i knew about laddders long before thay had shiney metal ones, and to find a wooden ladder store was very exciting to me.. jewelery stores never had the fascination  to me  that a wooden ladder store had... and as i wandered thru the  orderly warehouse, i knew i had to have one....so  i  bought an extremely attractive 12 foot ladder.
not remembering a vw bug was not  capable of having a 12' ladder poking out any window etc..so.... tied to the front and back bumper with red flags. worrying about  the sideways shift,  i  tied 2 ropes on either side-- got in the driver seat and tied the knot over my head. which meant teh windows were open and door tied shut-- but we made it home.
i painted it bright yellow ---- ,( i have a cathedral ceiling )--upstairs in the laundry... leaning gainst the rafters it made a perfect  drying rack/ lightbulb changing device -- until i realized an 8' ladder was a great towel rack in the bathroom because it holds 5 towels in minimum wall space..  so i now have  2 ladders....4' and 8'.

i often made demands of my vw bug way beyond it's capabilities... maybe the worst was the day i found a full set of barbell weights at a second hand store for $5...  and i bought them, only to stand at the register and suddenly realize i had to get them out of the store and into my car...
another is....that long ( heavy)  bench now sitting by the front door was purchased in cambridge. and  carried home sticking out the front window of said vw bug...
versatility has always been critical in my life...
i can not remember who once said to me " if  you can't  be a door, be a window"  .  i think it was a person with a handicap who said they were once an operating nurse, and now was a receptionist..

to be honest ... i groan.. when i  ask an applicant if they work, or volunteer  and they say "no, i am disabled"   like it is a right.  i think there is some strange law somewhere about if yo are on SSI  or disability from teh  VA   you can no t earn over a certain amt, or you loose your disability payments.  what a  plain  stupid law.... encouraging  inactivity and under the table cash.
there is an invention  to be made-- there is an army of people capable of saying to a company "let me answer the phone for you  so you don't have the "  your call is important to us"   %$^&*()_*&^%$#--
********
speaking of oddities.. and finances.. i really need to think about this 930 million in losses decared by "a political person..."  i do not understand all teh ways....
but i remember i was at an auction of donkeys in kansas where a  lovely mini donkey sold for an impressive  $105,000   that was a fact....and published  widely... price of all donkeys went up considerbly...
what  was not published was the  fact that another donkey sold for $104,999- and those two donkeys rode  in the same trailer...
*****
there is  another "WAIT A MINUTE.."  in this political scene... -- as a 501 c 3---i have learned that when you have donations of $20,000 you must file an irs form 990 ( that is the one that asks about if we own a tanning booth -- really..... question #14)  but  if your income gets to a certain point, you must  file that 990  plus  have an official audit by an official CPA which is also public...
there is a bunch of  details of this political atmosphere  which do not match the world as i know it...  because all those 990's and audits,   i must file,    are public information... readily available...
***
add that to the donkey sales and  teh law "you are responsible for paying the least tax you can"  can result in creative accounting not available to the "average Joe"

if it quacks like a duck.....

there is a  lot of quacking going on....
