MAY 29 2020
I NEVER......HARD TO CONCENTRATE WITH  live tv   A NEWSMAN  CAREFULLY ASKING WHERE THE POLICE WANTED TEHM TO STAND, WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND HANDCUFFED.. WITH HIS PRESS BADGE HANGING,   THEY TOOK HIM, TEH CAMERAMAN AND ARE LITTERALLY CARRYING THE CAMERA AROUND WHICH IS STILL LIVE...   GRANTED TEHY HAVE A MESS TO DEAL WITH, BUT USUALLY THEY TELL THE PRESS TO "GO OVER THERE" - AND THEY GO.  BUT CUSTODY?????  IT was live as teh reporter very respectfully said "just tell me where you want us  to go"  and they cuffed him, the camera, still running  was put on the ground  as they took camera guy too.  they keep saying teh legal team is working ot get the reporter released.... it will be interestin to see how long that takes.  plus   teh camera is now apparently in some vehicle... and the police do not realize it is still running.

fox is reporting the louiville shooting, casinos   plus otehre states statistics on COV--   they are missing a big story....of   hundreds of state police and apparently national guard which i have not seen yet   fire department has arrived... finally..

ah... here we go... there are two crews on the scene--ONE WHITE AND ONE BLACK...  TEH WHITE CREW HAS NOT BEEN ARRESTED, JUST THE REPORTER  " OF COLOR.".   THEY ARE REPLAYING IT AND TEH REPORTER  WAS MOST POLITE,, AND WS TRYING TO SHOW THEM HIS PRESS BADGE AS THEY PUT ON CUFFS.   THIS IS A BIGGIE...   AS IT SHOULD BE.
----
BREAKING WAY... HOW MUCH SIMPLER IS CONSTRUCTION...

TODAY...   I HAVE MARKED TEH VARIOSU BIORDERS AND WILL TRY AND WIDEN THE GUEST HOUSE PARKING AND THE ONE AT THE  WELCOME TENT TO TAKE 2 CARS .. IF I CAN WIDEN IT 18" I THINK 2 NORMAL CARS WILL FIT =----
THE DOG PATHS OF EITHER D=SAND OR GRQSS ARE MARRKED..

THIS NEXT  WILL HAVETO BE ADDED TO THE CONTRACT... BUT IT WILL BE WORTH  IT.

AND TEHN THERE IS THE   FORK LIFT - OUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IS WE NEED TO KEEP IT ON  SOLID FOOTING... IT ISD MADE FOR WQAREHOUSE UNDER IT'S WHEELS  AND WHEN WE GET INTO ANYTHING SOFT, IT IS AN EXTRRMELY COMPLICATED PROCESS OF  LIFTINBG IT UP BY USING TEH
HYDRALICSTO LIFT THE FRONT END WITH TEH 4" TIPPING MOTION  WHILE SLIDING A NOTHER BOARD........  IT TOOK THE BEST PART OF 8 HOURS TO GET IT OUT OF THE G TENT.    SOOOOOOOOO... I THINK WE CAN PUT A HOT TOP PATH TO THE CHICKEN COOP AND AA WIDER SPOT TO TURN AND BACK IT INTO TH E SPACE BEHIND THE T TENT.  IT BETTER BE A THICK PATCH... THAT THING IS HEAVYBIG TIME.  AND EXTREMELYU USEFUL IN A FEW SITUATIONS...  SO EASY ACCESS TO  IT WOULD BE CRITICAL... IT IS 8 FEET LONG WITH THE 4 FOOK FORKS STICKING OUT..
( DONALD SWANN AND MICHAEL FKLANDERS " WHAT THEY NEED THAT GREAT MACHINE FOR  TO LIFT FORKS , I DO NOT KNOW.")

TEHY WILL BE RE HOT TOP[POING  TEH ALLEYWAY OF TEH BARN TOO...
TO THQAT END WE HQAVE 1/2 TON OF HAY AND 92 WOODEN POALLETS TO GET OUT OF THE WAY  AND EVEN WORSE... THE HEAVY RUBBER MATS THAT WE HAVE TRIED TO USE TO COVER THE RAT TUNNELS TO NO AVAIL.

I WANT TO LISTEN TO THE NEEWS..... SORRY ....   TEH GOVENOR HAS HAT IN HAND AND APPOLOGISING... EXCEPT HE DID NOT ADDRESS WHY THE REPORTER OF COLOR AND NOT THE WHITE CREW...

TEH GUY WAS MOST POLITE... I COULD HEAR EVERY WORD.
STAY TUNED/

P.S.  19 MINUTE TIE  SIZ AND TIGGER.

may 28 2020

50 years ago my main vet consult was dr connie thibeault--  he was at that point  OLD....  MAYBE  about 80, but he got up early and i had to pass his house every sunday morning AND I STARTED DROPPING IN TO MAKE BOTH HE AND I   A CUPPA COFFEE..  SO WE COULD ARGUE THE    PROBLEMS OF TEH WORLD.... REAL OR IMMAGINED...AS FAR AS I KNEW HE WAS A HIGHLY RESOPECTED VETERNARIAN - I CERTAINLY RESPECTED HIS LOGIC...    CONNIE  GAINED HIS REPUTQATION BECAUSE DURING PROHIBITION HE HAD SOME KIND OF ALCOHOL  PERMIT.   AFTRER HE RETIRED HE DIDN'T REALLY MAINTAIN AN OFFICE BUT  WITH A SINK FULL OF GLASS SYRINGES AND A CONE OF EITHER, HE DID MINOR SURGERIES ON HIS BENCH IN THE YARD  WITH OWNER MANAGING THE CONE, WITHOUT EVER LOOSING A PATIENT.    HE DID NOT CHARGE THAT I KNEW OF, ALTHO I ONCE GAVE HIM A GALLON OF PENNIES. HE WAS THE AUTHORITY... AND  ONE OF HIS MOST WELL KNOWN COMMENTS WAS"  THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH A DOGS GUT THAT IS NOT CURED BY GREEN BEANS AND BUTTERMILK."

SHAME ON ME-- I KEEP FORGETTING AS WE TRY ALL SORTS OF MEDICINES- BECAUSE WHO CAN FIND BUTTERMILK NOW????
AND THEN ... THERE APPEARED... IN OUR PACKAGE DROPP OFF  20 HUGE CANS OF RESTQAURANT SIZE GREEN BEANS--  ONLY TO FIND OIUT THESE WERE PDROPPED THERE FOR PAM  WHO FEEDS THEM REGUALRLY....AND SO DOES DONNA ,,,, AND SO DOES AND SO DOES....AND SO DOES..   NEARLY EVERYONE EXCEPT ME?????  SO I HAVE  A CAN... AND WE NOW WILL START ADDING THRM, JUST FOR GOOD LUCK????  AND MINUS TEH BUTTERMILK,I THINK THE  FORTA FLORA CONCEPT  MIGHT BE TEH CURRENT EQUIVALENT.
----
I FINALLY GOT A CONTRACT FOR THE DRIVEWAY AND WATER  UPHILL PROJECT BEHIND TEH ARENA.  --- TO WHICH WE WILL ADD TEH MOVING OF THE  USELESS PILE OF SHAVINGS WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A MANURE PILE   BUT DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH MANURE TO BE USEFUL.

THE CONTRACT WAS MADE Less PAINFUL BECAUSE OF "PUPPY CROW" ---    A LONG TIME AGO TEH MASTERSON COMPANY SPONSORED A LITTER AT A POINT WHEN I WAS NEARLY BROKE...  AND  I AGREED WHEN THE OWNER SAID "IF I EVER NEED A PUPPY I WLL GIVE YOU A CAALL... AND I CHEERFULLY AGREED AS I TOOK THE CHECK -- AT THAT POINT,,, I HAD MORE PUPPIES THAN MONEY  SO IT WAS EASY TO AGREE..    SO WHEN THE MASTERSON FAMILY AGREED TO  KEEP A PUPPY FOR THIS COV VIRUS  INTERLUDE,   IT WAS CROW  THEY HAD... AND FELL INLOVE WITH HIM...  THEN MR MASTERSON SAID " REMEMBER THAT LITTER WE SPONSORED...." I KNEW  I HAD NO CHOICE .. ALSO IT IS A WONDERFUL PLACEMENT OF A DANE FOR A PET...    I WAS VERY HAPPY TO HAVE ALL EH CP'S NOT GIVE ME A HARD TIME...  NO WAY COUOLD I GO BACI ON MY WORD....  CROW WILL BE AROUDN,,, THEY ARE LOCAL... AND MOLLY DOES  VOLUNTEERING WHEN SHE HAS TIME
---
I HAVE TO MAKE SOME COMMENT HERE ABOUT BULLDOZER DRIVERS... I KNOW IT IS  socially NOT  UP THERE WITH BRAIN SURGEONS, BUT I AM  NOT SHURE IT SHOULD NOT  BE...  JEFF MASGTERSON BRAGGED TO ME ABOUTHTE  ARTISTIC VALUE OF TEH DRIVER THAT WILL CARVE UP THAT Wter problem behindg the arena--    jeff knows one when he sees one.    it was one of his guys that "put in" teh parking pit= and i never thought that ramp would stgay where he put it... but it has been perfect.  apparently  the plan is tohave him " shoot grades"  while  over the next 2 days they move in machinery off another job... thensgtart monday on both hot top of the drivewqay ... and  making the water run up hill... by lowering the hill...   should be  an interesing couple of days.  and since i am paying for it,  i bget to watch and ask questions   --- jeff knows  this ... and i am sure  he has warned his employees....
---
dig safe has already marked teh street-- they have often referred to this place as a spagetti bowl of wires.... as we  add wires nd bulidings    pretty muchallover... except where this "hill lowering" will take place..  the donkey cam should be qable to see some of it...  andteh driveway cam will see teh hot topping.

you all can  be what newyorkers call "sidewalk superintendents"

MAY 27 2020
re  ---cutting up charge cards that come in the mail-----old habbits are hard to break....there aer many things that confuse me ( obviously) and i prefer not to think about them.... thankfully  i have aa few hundred people watching out foir  me and the misgtakes i can make==   like opening mqail and getting a charge card which had a paper with 2 sides  of fine print  with it...     that shold have been a clue...  the fake ones only have big print --fewer  words --to grab yir attentiobn quickly and  get you to "buy into" whagtever they are selling.  so i cut the thing in half and thjrew it in the trash.

immeciately the phone began to wring...  you dummy thqt could be your free money ----so dianne  went thru the trash and recoveredall teh pieces.. wnd it appears that this is true  -- true to form....it seems i can activate it online and use it tibuy things online in spite of teh fact thagt it is in 2 pieces...  i dunno... and will wait for linda to come a read  teh 2 pages oif fine pring=t... the only oart i really understood was they wil replace teh card for $7.50  --  so i stopped reading and willjust try and buy things with it.... all teh while not giving them any information  of mine not readily qavaiolable to the general public.  like attaching it to a bank account...  oh i can reaad... but painfully slowly== and when it comes to directions , my fabulous short term memory forgets teh first part of a sentance before i get tothe end.

as you age , you  (well,me anyway)  learn not to trust your memory...  like thiws morning.. 4am on teh nose.....i put bentley out to pee, left thedoor opena crack and came bqack to getting coffee. coffee in hand i went to my computer because that is wht yoiudo when youhave a cuppa...    there is anotehr phase to aging that regulates your behavior-   the size of your bladder is considerably reduced necessatating  frequent  trips to the loo.  as igot up, i realizedi was not tripping over bentley, who is usually right behind my chair.  poor bentley must be standing at the front d oor -------but he wasnot.
 running thru the possibilities
is he stuck somewhere?- he would never bark, unlike chaos who would let youknow;...
did he come n and the door swing shut...  no he is not on any sofa...
is he hiding somewhere bv because a bug chased him in --- i checked the bathroom his place of last resort  to hide.
he weighs 150 pounds and is spotted  not like looking for a dark brown 10 pound  dashound
i went thru a raft of possibilities  finally getting to
did i put him out at all... or was that yesterday.???
a gap in teh gate finally explained why he was noit anywhere that i could convenienly look..
so i went back to slightly open front door..

point being ---   did i put him out at all??   with a history of memory loss, i think i can safely say   i see no signs of "inciorrect memory"
at least yet.  plus i feel no pressure to make up something  i can not remember..   because... so far...  i will eventually remember -- WITH AMAZING DETAILS ---AS SOON As more "stuff" fills teh short term slot and what was short term.. is now long term...
linda is learning not to start conversations with   "remember when"
---
back to construction.....
you cannot get big trucks in teh driveway if everyone parks  near teh corners..  doesn't sound likemuch   but  "normal" peple have no conceptionof houw mu hroom it takes to  turn a corner in a 53 foot trailer ---  a drag behind trailer sgays pretty much in teh tracks of teh towing vehicle... but those "5th" wheel trailers which are hooked to the bed of teh pickup or towing  vehicle,,are  1000% different.   i used to do it......   it wqs possible to make a u turn in the area in frot of the barn where pulling foirward made some of the wheels turn backwards..  go figure that out.
 ---
i had thought  they were coming to do just the water uphill proble,m  but turns out the y will do the driveway at the same time. and ...i am to get the estimate this morning.... to do or not to do the alleway of teh barn is the question...   the estimate will decide that.
--
should be an exciting morning around here. i did thnk "sunshine"  looked a bit uncomfortabel last night... could be teh stqrt of labor pains.
---
i will not be wearing my one last hearing aid  TODAY  - because invRIABLY WHEN LIFE GETS EXCITING, TEHDARN THING STATS THE  MUSIC OF " TIME TO REPLQACE TEH BATTERY" --AND IT DOES NOT QUIT !!    IT IS VERY DISTRACTING.. IT IS EASIER TO ASK PEOPLE TO TALK LOUDER.

may 26 2020
poison ivy...   not totally unlike worrying about COV  dispensing droplets... i decided to simply snip off some vines that are starting up som of the big trees in the driveway.. and  since i discovered i had 3 pairs of scissors IN THE CAR WITH ME, - i had teh right equipment.  i carefully snipped away...  but then i had to reach for just a few more.. and teh ivy brushed my hand...

i have  a long  history with poison ivy -- i can remember daubbing witch hazel on my sister frannie's rear end after she  squatted to pee in the bushes... but there were more than bushes there... and i have had brutal cases of it myself...  there was a  long time before anyone reqlized soap would help.. and trhe was a firm belief that oozing serum would spread it... i believed that for years and argued it at greAT LEGNTH WITH A DOCTOR WHO SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS.  TO ILLUSTRATE THAT POINT I  SCRATCHED ANAD SMEARED AND I  WOULD GET " THAT 'S NOT WHERE IT IS COMING FROM."  AFTER MUCH ARGUEMENT, AND SOAP, IT WAS DISCOVERED IT WAS MY SHOELACES THAT WERE RECONTAMINATING MY HANDS... AND WITH VERY CAREFUL STERILe TECHNIQUE IT WAS PROVEN THAT SERUM DID NOT SPREAD POISON IVY.... IT IS BASICALLY A DUST /GOO KIND OF THING WHICH IF YOU WASH IT OFF WITH SOAP  YOU DON'T GET IT. so i washed my ahnds, clothes and shoes  and hope for the best.

with many people buying gloves to "protect them"   i watch.....  wearing gloves does not stop you from spreqding  this  virus if you shold get it on your hands... depending on how it got therte....    which is the contaminated part , inside the glove or outside?  i went to pick up some kentucky fried chicken for  everybody;'s lunch-  my hands were filthy-- normal filthy ... too dirty to eat fried chicken with.. so while in line i put on those latex gloves... picked up the bag of chicken   and teh change... and pulled over...  now i had dirty hands covered with  gloves with a possible cov  problem and i had already touched the steering wheel..... and teh cup where i keep teh change.... i was not going to even think about the bag sitting on the passenger seat which was making the seat belt buzzer blare at me.  i had seen teh glove reemoval porocess-- with george DVM -- as often as anyone -- so as i pulled off the glove i turned it inside out-- now at least i had teh cov virus inside the gloves.. except i had touched the steering wheel...   and i still had teh hands too  dirty to eat a crispy chicken leg with .. so back on with the gloves
--- eat some fries and touch the steering wheel qnd i was back where i started.  except i managed to eat some of those good fries.

there are some times when  you have to  decide to decide......
made 2 decisions re teh quest for fried chicken.... serv9ce dg project is 1/2 way between 2 kentycky frieds   saugus( toward boston) and seabrook( toward maine.)   i opted to go away from boston as tehy would probably have a lower incidence of  COV contamingtion// -- then i have always wondered if hot food would be less likely to be a problem...   tehn there  is teh question which no one quite answers,,,"food is not a way it is transmitted"
well i ate the fried chicken ..and enjoyed  it.. totally disregarding teh steering wheel.

you can go nuts over this.
so far so good-- no poison ivy

MAY 25 2020
JUST WHEN YOU THINK YO U HAVE HEARD IT ALL....IN LOOKING FOR SOME NICE QUIET DR POL ON TV,  THERE WAS A DIVER PUTTING ON  WHAT LOOKED LIKE AN ATTACK DOG SLEVE ( FOR TRAINING DOGS TO BITE_ ) EXCEPT HE WAS OFF THE COAST OF AUSTRALIA WITH 2 OTHER GUYS TESTING HIS "SLEEVE" TO SEE HOW IT SURVIVED A SHARK BITE,  SO THEY COULD GET ALL DRESSED UP IN THE STUFF TO WATCH MORE CLOSELY TEH YEARLY  CONGREGATION  OF  SHARKS WHO COME TO FIGHT OVER A BUNCH OF FISH WHO AT THE FULL MOON ARRIVE TO LAY EGGS.
now getting alll dressed up in stuff that you hope will with stand a sharke bite shows you just how difficult it is to find something new to explore  in this crowded world.....  even more significant is ... there is a good reason  no has  one already investigated it...  or maybe they did---   and theri sleeve failed..  at any rate this guy wsas all excited because he got the photograph of the inside of a sharks mouth.  he bragged  about teeh fact that his  sleeve barely had any tooth marks on it.. any sensible person would be pleased about the fact that he still had 2 arms and 2 legs left. course any sensable person would not be down in the water counting teh 705 sharks and see which would bite teh sleeve.  i hope he hangs the photograph of those teeth in the waiting room of his dentist  instead of those bland  landscapes that are ususlly found in waitng rooms.
---
biggest news in my life ,, is bentley would not comne in the house last night   he ran to the door qand stopped and would not go in ... clearly saying to me  he was terrified oif somethign.. -- usually a big fly.. i had to put a leash on him..i have not had a leash on him in uyears...  i had a terrible time keeping him out of my bed. and he finally settled on a barker bed at teh bgottom of my bed with his head under the overhanging blankeyts
made me remember........
my fatehr had a blak cat at his shop (which sold and repaired farm equipment) routinely the cat would walk in teh big door for her dinner at 5pm  -- one night she  stood at the door and would not come in,, he finally left her out.. and that night the shop had a bad fire. .... and there had beenno sign of a fire while she was refusing to entger.
i thought of that when bentkley refused to walk thru the door.. however so far , we have made it.
---
jeff masterson said.. teh tuesday after memorial day.. which will be tomorrow...  with his massive machines -  compared to my toyota... so... i must get things out of the way... the dumpster, the donkeys,  2 goats and a boy cow.   2 tractors and some fencing.. object b4eing to scoop teh dark mud and put it  in the parklingg lot so we can throw wild flowerseed on that ihill.... tehn  lower the grade at the far end of the arena  so the water off that roof  goes the other direction... and lands behind teh  "parking pit"   instead of behind the t tent..  then flatten our brush pile and put the huge pile of shavings  to cover it... whch means everybody must park on teh driveway tomorrow. .. i don.t think he intends to do the other 1/2 teh driveway, but that wouold be wonderful. and totally disruptive to the whole place... but we are rready.
----
as CP's  nightly sit and watch the rear end of our "soon to be mommy" hopefully.. they wait for the appearednce of 2 tiny front feet just under her tail,  anything else could be complicated..  millions of thease donkeys are born in the wild  with absolutely no help.. but  all the wild ones don't have 400 people  analyzing every phart.
so i have alerted bryan  dvm   in case..
----
the volunteers who  have shown lately are makin g greaat progress on tha t miserable weed that abounds...  it is great having amany people thrilled with fresh I AND SPACE TO MOVE AROUND AND DIG UP WEEDS...  HOW COULD I BE SO LUCKY?  WE NEVER WILL RUN OUT OF THOSE WEEDS... SO THAT IS WHAT PEOPLE ARE DOING

MAY 24 2020
PERILS OF LIVING IN THE WILDES OF IPSWICH..---  OUR BEAUTIFUL MAYTAG FRIDGE/ FREEZER STOPPED REFRIGERATING OR FREEZING...
OH DEAR... ??? CALL THE  MAYTAG REPAR MAN  WHO IS SO CHEERFUL IN THE COMMERCIALS???  GOOD THING I DID NOT.   I WAITED FOR WHEN BUD WOULD BE HERE...  BUD, HAVING PLANNED AHEAD , HAD PUT THAT "ICEBOX' IN THE BACK PF TEH T TENT ON A PALLET  BECUASE OF TEH " WHAT GOES UP MUST COME DOWN CONCEPT OF WHAT IS NEW WILL NOT BE FOR LONG...   SO WITH OUR SMALLER KABOTA  HE DID LIFT AND CARRY IT  TO A SPOT WHERE HE COULD "WORK ON IT"  --

HE TOOK THE BACK OFF AND IT WAS PACKED WITH WHAT LOOKED LIKE  SHREDDED EGG CARTONS-- PACKED-- AS IN FISTFULLS OF THE STUFF AND FINALLY OUR COMMERCIAL VACUUM CLEANER REMOVED 96% OF THE STUFF... AND IT IS RUNNING... YET TO BE DETERMINED IF IT IS COOLONG OR FREEXZING... BUT PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE.    TEH STUFF INCLIUDED SEVERAL MICE  ( DECEASED)..BUD CORRECTLY POINTED OUT THE NUMBER OF TIMES IN THE PAST I HAVE HAD "REPAIR MEN" (NO WOMEN) TELL ME  "TEH EQUIPMENT IS RUINED... THEY ARE RUN BY COMPUTERS NOW AND TO REPLACE TEH COMPUTER IS  MORE EXPENSIVE THAN BUYING A NEW ONE." IT IS A LINE REPAIR PEOPLE ARE TRAINED TO RREPEAT.

AFTER WHICH BUD HAS REPLACED A $13 SWITCH AND HAD THE EQUIPMENT RUN PERFECTLY...   MORE THAN TWICE...    SO LETTING BUD HAVE A LOOK IS  A FINANCIAL DECISION  AS I THINK OF MIKE ROWE.... BUD  HQS THE COURAGE TO KEEP[ TAKING SOMETHING  APART UNTIL  YOU EITHER FIND THE PROBLEM OR WE HAVE TO HIRE SOMEONE TO PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER AGAIN... WHIC H  DOES NOT HAPPEN OFTEN.

CERTAINLY IN THIS CASE ONE DID NOT NEED AN EXTENSIVE ELECTRICAL  EDUCATION  TO AT LEAST GET IT RUNNING AGAIN..
THAT ... "IT IS RUINED "SPEECH  TAKES THE PLACE OF  " LET ME LOOK AND SEE IF WE CAN FIXIT" ..  BOTH BUD AND I WERE CONVINCED TEHRE WAS NO REPAIR MAN ALIVE WHO WOULD HAVE FACED THAT PACKED MOUSY MESS... WE CAN NOT SEE ANY CHEWED WIRES WHICH USUALLY GOES WITH PACKED MOUSY MESSES...   SO IT IS EITHER FIXED AND RUNNING TODAY... OR I CAN  NOW CALL A REPAIR MAN WHO MIGHT AT LEAST TRY AND FIX IT.

REFRIGERATION  HAS ALWAYS BEED SOMEWHAT OF A MYSTERY..  HOW YOU TAKE THE COLD OUT OF SOME HOT AIR, AND MAKE THE HOT AIR HOTTER JUST CONFUSES ME ....   IT DID  NOT CONFUSE MR. NEWTON... WHO MADE LAWS LIKE  "HEAT CAN  NOT ,  BY ITSELF , PASS FROM ONE BODY TO A HOTTER BODY"
 AND
"THE GREATER THE EXTERNAL PRESSURE, THE GREATER THE VOLUME OF HOT AIR.".. WE ALL KNOW ABOUT THAT ONE.

SO THE STORY OF THE ICEBOX IS YET TO BE CONTINUED.
-----
NOW WHY DO I NEED SOMEONE HERE OVERNIGHT?   ASK DENIS...  LAST NIGHT, WE HAD A DIFFERENT CAT... THIS TIME A DARK ONE  WHICH TRIPPED THE AUTOMATIC LIGHTING  AND WAS FILMED..    I AM SURE CREATED A SKUFFLE ARTOUND THE CHICKEN COOP WHICH MADE OUR DOGS ALERT ME TO THE FACT THAT  IT WAS THERE... UNFORTUNATELY  THE DOG ALERTED THE NEIGHBORS WHO THENALERTED THE POLICE  WHO COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THE  CAT   PROBLEM....  IT IS A DIFFEERENT CAT THAN  THE ONE ON 5/06/20    WHICH WAS A  LIGHTER COLORED.
WE MOVED 2 DOGS INTO THE HOUSE AND ALL SEEMED QUIET TIL JUST NOW WHEN THEY REALLY THINK IT IS BREAKFAST TIME... 7 AM...PAM SHOULD BE HERE SOMEWHERE...   AND JUDY !!!

THIS MAY MEAN WE SHOLD MAKE THE NUTT HOUSE THE PLACE TO PUT THE "DAY DOGS" ... I.E..   DOGS WHO COME WHEN THIER OWNERS
ARE HERE VOLUNTEERING OR WORKING.

JUDY IS NOW DEALING  WITH DOGS    2. CONDO  ..2..KITCHEN .2 F RONT A FIELD

"THEN I STARTED  IN A STORY, THEN I STOPPED IT IN THE MIDDLE... FOIR THE STORY THAT I STARTED  WAS NOT, YOU SEE, THE KIND THAT YOU CAN TELL AT A CHURCH SORREE " -- THAT IS A FUNNY SCOTTISH POEM ABOUT  AN OFF COLOR STORY THAT "HE" STOPPED...THEN "  MANY YEARS HAVE PASSED TIL FORTUNE GAVE ME SUCH A KNOCK, FOR THE MINISTERS YOUNGEST DAUGHTER AT  HER FATHERS JUBILEE   TOLD TEH STORY THAT I HAD STARTED AT THE KIRK SORREE..  "   ---  TIMES DO CHANGE....

WILL ENOUGH TIME EVER PASS SO THAT TODAYS  POLITICAL NEWS WOULD BE COMICAL?   WHO EVER THOUGHT THE MORNING NEWS WOUOLD BE SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING THE PROBLEM OF  SNEEZING  IN CHURCH....
---
HOLIDAYS DON'T MEAN MUCH AROUND HERE..  ALL THE ANIMALS NEED CARE ANYWAY,   I AM EXCITED ABOUT THE FACT THAT MASTERSON PROMISED TO COME WITH HIS BULLDOZER THE TUESDAY AFTER MEMORIAL DAY... I AM NOT GOING TO HOLD MY BREATH...  AND THEN THERE IS JACK,, WHOI UNFORTUNATELKY IS IN GREAT DEMQAND WITH A REEAL JOB  AND WE NEED HI M  TO FRAME THE GARAGE FDOOR POROJECT,

WE DO HAVE FENCING DONATED TO MAKE HE OFFICIALL RUNS OUT ON THE DONKEY SIDE OF THE KENNELJUST WAITING FOR BULLDOZING TO MAKE WATER FLOW UPHILL

WHILE WE WAIT FOR A DONKEY TO HAVE A BABY... IT DOES LOOK LIKE SHE IS GETTING CLOSE..   JANINE EVEN THOUGHT SO.. SHE  SPREAD A BALE OF HAY AS BEDDING--  EXPENSIVE BEDDING   BUT IT DEOS NO T STICK ALL OVER A NEW WET BABY...   STRAW WOULD BE THE OPTIMUM... BUT NOT MANY PLACES CARRY THAT NOW..
----
GRACE HAS A NEW PUP  AND HAS OPTED TO KEEP IT AT HOME WITH HER .. THAT  IS A GOOD IDEA   PUT SOME TIME BETWEEN  WALKING INTO THE MIDDLE OF OUR BUNCH...  QUARENTINE IS NOT A BAD WORD...  DID I HEAR THAT ANYONE LANDING IN BRITIAN...OR BOSTON... WAS BEING ASKED TO QUARENTINE  14 DAYS??   I DON;'T KNOW HOW THQT WORKS OUT AT LOGAN AIR-ORT.. BUT I DID HEAR THAT..

I AM STUCK FOR DAILY DOGGIE    IDEAS....

I AM ALSO TRYING TO  GET LAURA #43 TO DO AN EXPERIMNEBNTAL  PHYSICS BIT AT 4:30 WEDNESDAY...  INSTEAD OF A TRAINER TALK.. BEOFRE MAIL CALL..  THAT COULD BE FUN...  ESPECIALLY SINCE WIL WILL NOIT KNOW  EXACLY WHAT WE ARE DOING.... JUST " THE EFFECT OF WHAT WE ARE DOING"

may 22 2020
mathmqatically......  in designing dog pens...i knew ( thought??) you get the most square footage  for the least fence  if you put up a square ( or heaven  foribid.. a circle..) but when i did the ones off teh deaagle and nutt houses i had a few extrqa bucks and  unrolled  the  150 foot  fence in a fairly straight line  so the dogs in those buildings can really get a full out run going  in these runs aboutu 20 feet wide. that shape has to b4 the most expensive way to build qa run... but i watched 5 dogs yesterday racing each other back and  forth  which they never couod have done in a square.  the fact  that i was able to arrainge the runs up/down hill gave tehm even more exercise. i say fairly straight line.. all that fence looks like it was installed by someone with a drinking problem.... but it works.

there are some really basic  physical facts that  amuse me.... especially water-- and my car is now a watering can for the newly planted  garden.  i have a big 24 " milk can ful of water inthe front seat whch i siphon out the windo into a  pewter pitcher which sat on my family's dinner table every night when i was young.  it was teh milk pitchr.   i couold not find a watering can.
which goes back to mike row-- if you can't be a plastic surgeon be a good welder.
------
THIS MIKE ROW LECTURE COUDL NOT SAY IT BETTER...
EVEN  TO THE  ARRIVE EARLY DO THE BEST YOU CAN AND STAY A FEW MINUTES LATE...

THIS  VIRUS REALLY OUGHT TO HQAVE EVERYONE RETHINK JUSGT WHO IS CRITICAL  AND WHO ..MAYBE ...IS NOT.
AND SOMETIMES IT BOILS DOWN TO A GOOD WORK ETHIC..   WHICH THS LATEST BIT ABOUT EARNING MOREE MONEY ON  UNEMPLOYMENT
THAN SOMEONE EARNED WORKING  IS CERTAINLY GOING TO RAISE TEH DEVIL WITH  THOSE WHO THINK WORK IS A CURSE.

i get a kick out of what many people do int he name of "hobby"  than would ever be allowed by  union  or osha rules.  here strap this thing to your back and jump out
of that plane at 5000 feet.  or strap these things to your feet and  see if you can slide to the bottom of that hill.
the absolute work required to own a boat... or heaven forbid a horse...
when the only difference is  you have the choice with a  hobby and with work.. someone  else is the decision maker.
==
another fyi
apparently wasps are territorial. and someond found that puttin g up a pake wasp nest keeps tehm away...
this person has a crochete version ,, google....Crochet Pattern – Fake Wasp Nests  we could use those???
long ago i heard of a brown paper bag   being puffed into wasp nest size and shape...  so maybe there is a bit of logic there.
=====
i am shocked at how well this place is coming together... a few volunteers  looking for enterteiauinment and freashg air, are getting all sorts of thigs done.
like teh next tent... skip got the tent polees up and yesterday  found a perfect white tarp  16 x 20
that same piece of real estate once hqad my first chicken coop...  then i got in the tipi phase and we had a huge 27' tipi in that spot  which was my outdoor office for 2 seasons???   i remember doing paperweork there whild sittingon a rug on the floor.  with a fire to keep me  if not warm, at least not frozen. -- it is an interesting place to sit with the fountains kmaking their noise...   plan is to move the dog fence around teh tent so  the area becomes part of  "teh grassy knoll"
where teh annie bench now is... it is one p[lace onteh pro[perty that is shaded most of the day... it is where we had eh singing group at dog fest.  it can be seen from the driveway camera which at the moment shows bothfountains.. all that used car lot  decoratiosnis to keep the hawks for getting any puppies we have inb that "v" pen...
---
last night was coyote howl night....  and  ours finally joined in   off and on. one of the neighbors did call-  at that point our dogs were quiet and the other "sound" was quite cleqrly not mine  she was going to call teh police.. what she needs to do is call teh real estate agent wh osold her the house next to me and willowdale state forest.  i only have dogs now... a few years ago   as animal episodes , i had 150 animals here by actual count.  some were birds, but a flying peacock looks like a terrifying 747. and scream????  there is nothing louder... or prettier.

INTERESTING THINGS HAPPEN ALL DAY THAT I FIGURE I SHOULD PASS ON IN THIS DD   --  ONE STOOD OUT YESTERDAY.... WITH EVERYONE EXPECTED TO WEAR Masks in public.   when there is a group of  our "lawmakers"  on tv,  someone  notyiced the  people with the higheer degrees ... like MD  were wearing masks ... and you know i am not a huge fan of school learning,  but it was an interesting observation...

today  laura is off---  i am slightly scared...  laura  just does "things"  and furthermore, she plans ahead to do them....  but judy will be back-- she is another
project dedication type... i am more teh muddle thru type.... my source of  inspiraton is goldie..  if  in random moving qaround, i end up with a paint roller in my hand, i would figure out whqt i could do with it.  otherwise i wouljd not even remember it's existance.

like now... that i mention paint rollers, i wonder if we could manage to pqaint the gates around here... the chain link could be pained pretty efficiently with a roller?? and that wouold be a good cov project...-- i know we have atleast 20 chain link gates on gthe kennels and alomst as many in the vqarious outdoor areas..  and they do rust.... they also get full of wasps - the minute a cap is missing or a  rust hole appears one has to wonder if a wasp nest is now inside...
chain link......
we do need to invert the gates to the kennels inb order to repar the rusted bottom... miserable to replace down oin the floor.. but easier to fix if we invert them beforehand.  i love (and hate ) chain link-- it does not have to be measuerd exactly..... if i get within 4 inches , i can make them fit somehow with the way they clamp together.  that would be a good project to "start"   the worst poart will be to find the socket wrench of the correct size  -- why we have tio have metric and   xxxx   sizes in everything... it problaly has to do with historicly  divorcing ourselves  from the british  way of doing thinggs -- now there is  a thing i wonder... why did someone decide we ,, americans .. would  make nuts and bolts and wrenches slightly different froj teh metric.. which i think the rest of the world does.. consequently i own at least 2 complete set of wrenches and i guarentee i never have the  correct one.

i never stopped to wonder, but  historically ,i personally went thru a phase of wanting to own a  bugatti but came to recognise if it  broke and needed some gizmo  i would  need to send it to europe  to be fixed... i was better off with teh most common- because it could be repaired by local people.... whoi  already had 2 sets oif wrenches..   so...   in purchase of anything..... i learned to love sears roebuck.and recognise things like briggs and stratton  which make 78% of all the small engines i run into na d heaven hel0 the other 22% when they try and find parts.  many times stuff gets to be teh standard because it works...  or at least i would like to think so.

i enjpoy teh tv show of impossible engineering... and one show was about the  spacing of the rail road tracks and how  on the border between france and spain  there was a huge resort for people to get off one  train and on the the different  guage tracks for the spanish trains.  then spain joined teh french and the resort stands unused.

SPEAKING OF RAIL ROADS
I HAD ALL SORTS OF  useless INFORMATION PEOPLE REMEMBERED FROM CLASSES THEY TOOK IN HIGH SCHOOL.. SAMPLE
HERE IS SOMETHING I LEARNED IN A REQUIRED SOCIAL STUDIES CLASS, I.E., THAT THE CHINESE BUILT OUR RAILROADS.  THAT BIT OF INFORMATION DIDN'T EARN ME A DIME!

may 20 2020
i get many emails  ,,but,, here is a first....Next time you glue and screw a ball,  please Let me know. I find these surgeries very fascinating
i am happy to provide teh detqils---    pam found the ball and put it in the basket.. denis put it  back on with a slightly bigger screw.. so elvis is back to being the perfect joker..

the rest of the story... someone did not knowwe found the ball and ordered a new one... i dunno from where... how mqany polaces in the country sell horn balls?
i just went to my favorite source book.. teh lancaster county  book of stuff from amish country  well mad.e .. cheaper than local... because the local stores are buying stuff from  the  amish country by reading the lancaster county   whatever it is...   like yellow pages.... that is because amish kids are taught to "do things"  like work with wood... or bean relish.
i am off and running..... home schooling... oh how i could redo thqat...
ok so teh grades 1nto 6 should be getting reading  writing and arithmetic down pat...but after that . education  is too  non specific for my likeing.  i would not separte the boys and girls either --- they both might, in their future lives, be required to make a non lumpy cream sauce... or to solder a pipe.... a one hour lesson in making bread .. or in "how a toilet flushes"  would actually be helpful for when the toilet overflows on christmas eve.
.
one of the first things i would  do   is make about 4 half hour videos to repklace the years of american history i sat thru and about all i remember is 54-40 or fight-  which has not done much to support me thru the years...watching one video a night would be the required homework... which would be a 20 minute discussion in  homeroom... and that topic  is done... you want to know more about lewis and  clarke? we taught you to read in grade school.. so go read... in the meantimer....
todays lesson, will be inbt eh parking lot so you can learn how to change a tire,
i ws not allowed to take woodworking but i would have got a lot more good out of that.. or a  household maintanence course in lightbulb changing and wasp removal.  lets educate these kids for reality.
a 10 minute lab on grommet replacement would have been infinitely  more useful than conjugating verbs.   the  many hours i spent  were  totally wasted  and one of those courses i had to take in highschool was given by a totally wasted teacher- how much more important it would have been for us to study alcoholism  and addiction in general..

4 yeqars oif  teh american college  exhistance  is not much better-- wso many "required courses"  before you were allowed to take anything remotely interesting.  in order for you to get a degree from our institution  you must  earn 36 credits by sitting thru ( and paying for)  these  required courses.  colby college had the additional requirement of being able to spell 500 words.... that  requirement  over whelmed my entire college life  and is responsible for me to take a yeaqr in scotland jst to get away from that obsession..

the concept of "required courses" needs a 100% overhaul  --
thanks to the cov pandemic... there will be a lot of overhauling and rethinking.

p.s.  my obsession with the siphoning of water,  i have proven  i can lift water over teh swing set.. probably 18 feet high???   it is all sitting there   some day i will do mail call from there and show everybody

i am sooooooo close to ordering enough lumber to do a davinchi bridge....... google thqt one !!

may 19 2020
i got an email about how lovely elvis was and how her llife was changed since  she got him.. i had a real  problem as she went on to describe traveling by air with him...   all the time i am thinking  "one of us is nuts"  -- it wqs quite a few minuites before i remember we donated a dog named elvis who is doing a fantastic job getting fiona over impossible terrain --
age does that ... to me at least. it is the doubt.  did  i ?   where is?   was that? or more specifically , how can i sit in my ( warm) car and loose my phone?  or the paperwork i was working on???  there are just so many places in the front seat of a car...which already contains a bag of horse food,  a case of canned dog food ( for training) 10 calendars and my monkey making  pouch...

so i decided to clean it  up....  by first emptying that cavern between the seats...
it was so bad i made a list
the car jumper thing was there
but so was an  inverter??  which is a wonderful thing that turns your car into a generator inexpensively...
which with an extension cord, for a long time was my source of electricity when the power failed..
. i couyld run one thing at a time ... lights.. tv.. refrigerator   it would make the furnqace run...or charge bqatteries..
as i dug deeper 4 pairs of scissors?  11 pens, a poncho...  2 leashes and a rope ,  foil blanket...6 pairs of misc glasses,  first aid things
$17.16 IN COINS, A FOLDING KNIFE/TOOL  thing, poker chips and  8 misc  charging cords.
except for teh coins, i pretty much put it all back.

the new schedule went pretty well yeterday consideing .. of teh  7 people scheduled, 3  had health issues..
2  roaring intestinal tracts and a sore neck.
so i may have to add one more filler person -- which is a problem we used to study somewhere....
how many people do you need to hire  to be sure you will have 4 people there at all times...
and now there are parts of me that could be happier. ( temp  normal..o2  95,   . nose running  tummy growling)
--
grommet  had another 17 minute tie.... we will continue that daily til she says no more.... which can happen at any moment.
siz is in heat.... and would be breedable only before we can tell if may is pregnant... so my guess is we wll breed her
i wonder if tiggeer would find her any more attractive than may?????   if not... watson???   not grommet... they are  both relqater to walter
---
as for elvis losing his ball....   denis has a new  topic for his resume... ball replacer... he  screwed it b=back on...
