COLD FRIGHTENS ME.... MAKING MY CAR'S REMOTE STARTER ONE OF MY MORE VALUABLE INVESTMENTS. SO IF WHEN SNOW IS PREDICTED, I HOOK UP THE PLOW ( FOR YOU MECHANICAL PEOPLE 2 THINGS.. THE PLOW GOES INTO BASICALLY THE SAME HITCH ON THE FRONT THAT I HAVE ON THE BACK FOR THE HORSE TRAILER.. AND IT IS ON WHEELS SO PULLING FORWARD TO THE GARAGE MAQKES IT EASY FOR ME TO HOOK UP.. OR BETTER YET FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO HOOK UP WHILE I SIT IN THE WARM CAR....) SO TURN AROUND AND BACK UP TO THE GARAGE DOOR, SET THE ENGING RUNNING AND I HAVE ONLY7 ABIOUT A 10 FOOT RUN IN THE COLD TO GET IN THE DOOR AND GET HTE MUSIC GOING.. IT IS ALSO A MUST THAT I HAQVE A FULLY CHARGED CELL PHONE JUST IN CASE I SLIDE INTO A DITCH ( HAS NOT HAPPENED YET.. BUT COULD.) I KEEP FORGETTING I CAN DICTQTE THISW,.

Just because we are over the ides of November……… lets consider ------ BLIZZARD PREPARtions;…….. I hate to think… but….
THIS Is what happens when I forget to shut off the television or someone in the other room says something this fOOL machine picks it up iand Prince it this morning and potential distribution hub being set up in Germany for fizes coronavirus vaccine that vaccine needs to be kept at temperatures much lower than standard freezers seen as Frederick like in his life
Which I have now shut off ..
So I don't usually mind getting up to plow I'm up early anyway .. and it's critical get the driveway at least be open so people can get in here to work .. so why not hire somebody to come do it ?? because to get that early morning plowing we would have to outbid places like Walmart and CVS and all those big commercial places . and even that would not guarantee they would get US Open by 7:00 o'clock .. with ME if it starts to snow and begins to look like five or six inches my car should be ready to go then I could get up and just shove snow around so at least people can get in here and get to the barn afterwhich real help can come clean it up with my car or whatever like the tractor with a bucket and we could have it all done instead of sitting in a window worrying about everybody parking on the street ..
alright must admit I'm not the greatest snow plower but I can certainly shove snow around so cars could get in I go to the street One Direction turn around come back in and go all the way to the barn and make a loop by the time I've done that I could get a few cars in anyway then I just keep making more loops to make it wider so people could actually get out .. Meanwhile the tractor if any kind of snow is forecast should be parked up by the front door and have the block heater plugged in so it instantly starts in which case I run out to get it going and come back and get coffee and then go out again because there is heat in the cab .. and though I take all kinds of coats and blankets with me I've been known to take my jacket off in the heat of that cab and wave at everybody out in the snow ..
BLIZZAFRD Preparations also must include putting the spreader on the back of the small tractor and somehow having a pile of sand available and covered with a tarp keep it dry ..because our biggest problem is when things haLF thaw and then freeze into a skating rink .. if we already have the spreader on the small tractor we can fill it with the big tractor and sand our own area instead of waiting for Mr Thompson to finish sanding all of topsfield and then come and do us Which is what has happened in the past ….(ann I forgot to mention this at the bioard meeting) ……..Talk about having the right equipment now that we have a proper dump trailer there's no excuse for not having a big pile of sand because Bentley Warren is right around the corner who sells everything from sand up to two foot size rocks .. you pull onto their scale call him on the phone and tell him what you want then park somewhere in the middle in a mammoth loader appears dumpster in your trailer .. to make sure you all understand the complete loop that mammoth loader has a windscreen made of lexan which is sort of a heavy duty Polly something and it does get scratched every couple months they change it and usually they remember to save it for us which is what's in the kennel in the barn and all over the place---- lexan is wonderful ..
Once everybody is here then normal people can take over the snow blower the small tractor the big tractor in my car and I'll go back in the house and drink coffee .. this is the preferred Blizzard routine .. I have no problem doing this as long as I am within range of somebody coming to rescue me if I get in trouble .
In this vein it seems it would be to my advantage to teach everybody here to drive THE tractors and the golf cards .. I was shocked at the number of people who have never driven a golf cart—I GUESS IT IS BECAUSE they have husbands that don't golf .. I might never have known had I not been forced to start playing golf when my husband joined the Country Club .. I honestly went out and played three holes before I figured I couldn't stand it any longer and just rode around in the golf cart and decided to come home and buy a golf cart .. namely that little green one which has been such a trooper and still is in many ways the preferred golf cart . you can turn around and go the other way without a 12 point turn and being electrical .. they start .. there is no string pulling gas pouring choke ADJUSTING and swearing related to driving a N ELECTRIC golf cart ..
The reason men are slow to let women drive these big machines is they don't want you to find out how easy it is ..Hydraulic levers move very easily and smoothly ..you do have to realize that you could pick up any car or move any small building if you make a mistake I must admit I have had more trouble with an electric sewing machine then I have with the kabuta backhoe .. with the possible exception of the fact that the controlling levers for the backhoe are entirely too close to the seat ..making gaining even 2 pounds a serious problem for back HOE OPeration .
Hi Carlene and all at SDP,
I hope this email finds you well. I know it has been a while since you have heard from me. My hip surgery was a month ago today. It ended up taking a lot longer and a lot more work than they expected so my recovery is a little slow. Martina did amazingly in the hospital while my mom had to take care of her because I could not get out of bed. Fast forward to now, I am still using crutches but, am hoping to lose them and use Martina again for balance this coming Wednesday during my PT appointment. A couple of weeks ago we went on a small trip with the family and while Martina was not holding me up she was right next to me working (see picture attached). I know Martina can’t wait for her to go back to her full work and I am right there with her but, it might be a little before we are back to our regular walks in the refuge near us. We are still staying very quiet with the risk COVID poses to me but still wanted to give you an update.
-----Hello Linda,Please let me know if you are the right person to send any future updates to or if there is another email address to use. Feel free to share this with the SDP community if you wish. Our ride home from SDP was pretty smooth. We only had one “window opening” incident, which I felt was a win after our time in the guest house.A 5:45 PM home introduction on Halloween was going to by challenging, but the challenges were different than I expected. I was concerned the dogs might not get along, but they became instant friends. It is wonderful that they get along so well and gives us another challenge to manage in the house (the family with the pets and Connor with Gretl).I read the Daily Doggie on Nov 1 and saw the message “Connor and Gretl will both have good days and bad days”. it was great to read this as it has been proven over the two weeks of being home. We discovered that Gretl will chase squirrels and that Connor will need to be ultra aware when he and Gretl are in any areas with animals. We also saw Gretl stay by Connor when he fell which displayed their progress with bonding.Today was their first day in school as Connor and I had to quarantine for 14 days after returning from Massachusetts. School went very well and we received many comments on how great Gretl is and how much better Connor is walking in school with Gretl (that comment was echoed by his physical therapist). These are people that see Connor walking regularly and their feedback helps show the value Gretl brings for Connor. We will have Connor send updates on his progress with Gretl has they continue to bond and learn to work together.Regards,Mike
